Good lighting is important. Take a photo of your pet outside in daylight, or in a well lit room. Our artists will work directly with the photo you uploaded, so make sure you capture your pet in good light, and you're satisfied with the colors in your photo.
Try to get a close up of your pet. The more detail and higher quality are better. The best position for taking a photo is by sitting down or standing up. When your pet is laid down it's harder to create an amazing piece of art, so take a photo directly in front of your pet and avoid taking photos from overhead. Please remember not to leave their ears out of frame, our artists can only work with what's in the photo.
Once your order has been placed, all photos you provided us will undergo a screening process. If there's an issue with the photo and we believe your artwork won't be as detailed as we'd both like, we will send you an email to you. However, if we don't hear back from you, we'll have to proceed with the photo you originally provided.
